FAQ

Which structure suits me: EAS, SRL or SA?
It depends on how many partners you have and the complexity of the project. The EAS allows a single shareholder and is the most agile and affordable option, which is why it's preferred by entrepreneurs and SMEs. The SRL requires at least 2 partners and has moderate formalities. The SA starts at 3 shareholders and is justified for large projects or complex corporate structures. We cover this in detail in our comparison guide.
Can a foreigner own 100% of the company?
Yes. Paraguay allows an individual or company based abroad to hold 100% of the capital, with no need for a local partner. It's one of the sharpest differences compared to other countries in the region.
Do I need to travel to Paraguay to set up the company?
Not necessarily. The process can be done remotely by granting an apostilled power of attorney from your country. You do need to appoint a legal representative and have a fiscal address in Paraguay, both of which we handle.
What taxes does a company pay once incorporated?
The main ones are IRE (Corporate Income Tax) and VAT, both with a general rate of 10%. As a general rule, Paraguay does not apply wealth tax or capital gains tax. VAT returns are filed monthly.
What happens after registration?
Incorporating the company is the first step: monthly invoicing and tax filing obligations follow. We handle that stage too, so the company doesn't stay registered but inactive.
